Core Values

Compassion is Key

Compassion is the driving force behind every decision made in Living Waters. We started this foundation after seeing the homelessness experienced by many impoverished outpatients in Chiang Mai, and we strive to go out of our way to respond to the physical, mental, and emotional needs of needy patients with warmth and care.

Integrity and Discernment

We work with the government hospital’s social welfare to ensure that our resources are going to the people who truly need them. We have encountered many freeloaders during our journey, so we make it a point to only help those who truly need it. We are to be good stewards of our resources and finances as we are called to bless others with what we have.

Safety and Cleanliness

It is not easy to trust, let alone, share personal space with people we have just met. We therefore have several house-rules in place to ensure that all our guests feel safe, secure, and comfortable during their stay with us. We ultimately want the Living Waters Home to be a place of peaceful rest for the many outpatients in Chiang Mai. We also have several staff onsite to keep the home clean and sanitary as to not compromise the immunity system of the patients.

Intentional Community

We strive to be intentional in getting to know every patient and caregiver that walks in. Building relationships through encouragement and positive reinforcement is central to what we do. Getting to know people and their situations helps us to help them in whatever ways we can; words of affirmation and encouragement goes a long way!
